I found a widget that makes the menu follow as you scroll down the screen. How cool is that?

As of this morning, Friday the 13th

Changed the menu structure as I created pages from the legacy site.

 1. Added the Meta menu (separate widget). I wanted it under the CRJT Menu, but it wrapped and looked like crap. So, this is the only option. Still looking for a solution.
 2. About Us is now a page and drop down menu leads to other subject pages ported from the legacy site.
 3. Categories is now called Topics and drop down menu goes to Development and Trail Condition Updates, the only two that will have comments enabled. I think I will add a third called Discussions leading to a third menu level. The menu Plugin I'm using will go 4 deep.

The home page now defaults to a Welcome message. I'm still working on the graphic.

We now have a google map (Getting to Marble). Kinda fun to play with in satellite mode. I also included some of the historical sites on the map. I think I could even use it as a trail map if I had lat/long of each location... hmmm.

Look at the About Us/Marble History page versus the Crystal History page. Which is better? Black or white text? Link color I'm still working on.

Did I mention there's an SEO package installed? I'll go over that in Marble.

Just noticed a difference. When I log on using the "Log On" link it takes me to subscriber level. I have to use the "Site Admin" to log on as admin. You might have to do the same thing with the log on I sent you. You should see an avatar with your picture if you're logged on your assigned account.

Good points Chuck.

I don't necessarily like the BG graphic as is either. When I made the BG stationary I found the mill picture only showed the top roof area. So I tried to reduce to fit. That looked like crap also. So I tried the montage you see now. My next step will be to increase the sizes of each smaller photo to fill the empty spaces, keeping the main Mill photo on the right for emphasis, getting rid of that ugly green. The idea is to entice someone to log on and check us out. If anything, to look at the photos. The main goal is to have a recognizable mill photo that's prominent.

The log in is for the username and password I sent you. You are still using your previous subscriber log on.

The (RSS) in the menu. That's the best I can do with the structure I have to work with. I'll show you when we get together in Marble.

The gallery L/R scroll and caption: I can change the color scheme of the gallery, what you see is the default. I need to see it on your machine to figure out what works best. I cannot change the font size, at least not that I've found yet.

The location of the horz menu bar is a function of the particular theme design. This theme has it at the bottom instead of the top. I kinda like it because it's different.

I'm trying to get as much as I can finished while I'm still on DSL. Once in Marble on dial-up it will be sooooo much slooooower.

The overall look is now cluttered and distractive with the two columns of small photos, the solid green in between and the mill on the right. Keep the one photo of the mill or maybe a second covering half of the screen with only a thin solid line between the two

I see you placed the "Comments (RSS) in the CRJT Menu. Instead of placing it in the "links" option, I thought as it's own menu option would be better.

I really like the Photo Galley left-right scroll but I did not find the option very intiutive. It was only by accident that I came upon the arrows. I do not recall going to a website before that has this left-right feature. The arrows are also very dark on my monitor. Can you add a notation for viewers that left-right arrows will display when a mouse is placed on the large photo?

To make sure we are refering to the same photo captions, I was talking about those on the large image that displays in the photo galley. I can make out the caption but only because I know what the image was. For someone who does not know the image, the text might not be readable. If you are using 1440 x 900, it is even smaller on you monitor.

Log In link is not understood as to who must log in.

I am used to a hoeizontal menu at the top that does not scroll when a page is scrolled down or to the left. It seems odd that the bar at the bottom is stationary and has links but there can not be a similar bar at the top?

background is now stationary. Found the setting. Changed the BG picture and colors (quick and dirty).

gallery: Changed the picture size on the slide display. Could not find a setting for text size without getting into the coding.

1. Category: For the future. I was simply curious if there was something I had not thought about. Future categories will be history, map, drivers, etc.

2. Gallery: the left/right scroll buttons appear when you hover the mouse over the picture. You do not have to click to see them. Or click on one of the pictures at the bottom to see that picture. Sorry, I think that's intuitive. You did find it after all. Besides, that's programmed into the interface, nothing I can do with that without some fancy recoding.

3. My screen resolution is set at 1440 x 900 (your resolution is low, you can't increase it?). I see the text okay. Although I agree. The text is small. I'll look at that.

4. I added the RSS links to the CRJT Menu, Links dropdown. You were right. I forgot about the "Meta" that shows up on other sites. I tried adding it as the pre-programmed "Meta", but there was a conflict with the custom menus structure.

5. You want your avatar to be the line drawing? OK...

6. What do you mean "not being anchored"? Are you referring to the vertical drop-down menus? Maybe this will make a little more sense when we can get together in Marble. My other option is to expand the menu buttons at the bottom of the screen (where the Blog Home and CRJT Home buttons are). I actually have three menu structures that I'm balancing. I did it the way I did for structural separation.
